For the Crispy Tofu:
- 1 package extra-firm tofu pressed
- 1 Tablespoon sesame or olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon arrowroot starch or cornstarch
For the Firecracker Sauce:
- 1/2 cup hot sauce such as Frank’s
- 2 Tablespoon Sriracha
- 1/2 cup erythritol such as Brown Sugar Swerve
- 1 Tablespoon coconut aminos or soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
For the Tofu:
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Slice and cube tofu, then toss with oil, soy sauce, and arrowroot powder.
Spread the tofu cubes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick silicone baking mat.
Bake for 22-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy on the outside.
For the Firecracker Sauce:
Whisk together sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens; remove from heat and set aside.
Add tofu and sauce to a large mixing bowl and toss until all tofu is coated. Serve with veggies and/or cauliflower rice.
