In reply to deborah maloney. 1/2 teaspoon is a fairly small amount, so it is ok to use either. Ground thyme does have a more concentrated flavor, but it distributes more evenly in a spice mix. I just use whatever I have on hand!

The amount of people who leave comments saying this recipe does not contain flour (or other brainless remarks ) and therefore don’t understand that this is just a *seasoning blend* recipe is amazing to me. iCaramba. Is this thyme leaves or ground thyme. Please respond. Need to get one or the other. My gut instinct is to think that ground time might be too much for 1/2 tsp. thanks…..

Shouldn’t you tell everyone about how many pounds of chicken this seasoning amount will cover, I seen someone ask you something about that and you said use as much as you want??? SERIOUSLY, if you can’t even put that in your recipe that is dumb

I made up the seasoning mix cut chicken breast up in too nuggets size. Make kfc chicken bowels with mash taters corn gravy & chicken nuggets. Everyone love this recipe and i? Making it again tonight our daughter loves kfc but it so expense so thhank you so much.

Pretty good. I used it mixed 50/50 with baking powder to get that extra crispy skin. I did not put the full amount of white pepper, as that seemed like with the black pepper it would be overkill. It worked very well. I liked the tip about using tablespoons instead of teaspoons to account for the odd 1/3 & 2/3 measurements, and now I have a nice sized jar of it to use in the future.
