Ingredients

For the Crispy Tofu:

  • 1 package extra-firm tofu pressed
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame or olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon arrowroot starch or cornstarch

For the Firecracker Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce such as Frank’s
  • 2 Tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1/2 cup erythritol such as Brown Sugar Swerve
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

For the Tofu:

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Slice and cube tofu, then toss with oil, soy sauce, and arrowroot powder.
  • Spread the tofu cubes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick silicone baking mat.

  • Bake for 22-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy on the outside.

For the Firecracker Sauce:

  • Whisk together sauce ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens; remove from heat and set aside.
  • Add tofu and sauce to a large mixing bowl and toss until all tofu is coated. Serve with veggies and/or cauliflower rice.
