To give any burger a delicious, Keto-friendly twist, add some sugar-free Big Mac sauce. It’s even more delicious than the original burger sauce!
Low Carb Big Mac Sauce
Every now and then, I have a craving for a big juicy burger. What I love about the keto diet is that you can still enjoy all the good stuff about burgers: the juicy ground beef patty, the crisp lettuce and fresh tomatoes, and the sauce. Who even needs buns??
Yes…really…the sauce!! If you love a good burger sauce, then I’ve got just the recipe for you!
I re-created the famous McDonalds Big Mac sauce, without all the added sugar! In fact, our copycat Big Mac sauce recipe has just 1g total carbs per serving. How awesome is that?! And it has all the flavor of the original!
If you’ve never tried this “secret sauce” recipe, it tastes similar to Thousand Island Dressing, though it’s not quite the same. I think that McDonald’s special sauce actually has a little more tangy flavor…it’s so yummy!!
This Copycat Big Mac Sauce will make any cheeseburger or salad taste SO much better! This healthy copycat version tastes just like the McDonald’s sauce they put on their Big Macs and you can easily make it keto-friendly!

Prep Tips
- If you prefer a slightly sweeter sauce, add a teaspoon of your favorite keto sweetener. I love Lakanto Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener (if you shop through my link and use code “SOCCERMOM” you can save 15% every time you purchase!)
- Feel free to add a sprinkle of salt to your sauce too. I don’t usually add a lot of salt to my food, but a little bit can help bring out the flavor of a dish.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Homemade Big Mac Sauce Stay Good in the Fridge?
When stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, your homemade Big Mac sauce will last up to 2 weeks. That is, if the leftovers actually last that long!
If you can’t remember when you made it, or if your homemade sauce looks or smells “off” at all, it’s always safer to toss it and whip up a new batch. This recipe is super easy, so you can have a new batch ready in minutes!
Can You Use Pickle Relish Instead?
If you’re looking to save time, you can use dill pickle relish in this recipe. The important thing is to check the label to make sure that there is no added sugar (though there really shouldn’t be for dill pickles, but you never know with packaged foods!)
Can You Use Miracle Whip Instead of Mayonnaise?
I’ll totally admit that I grew up with Miracle Whip as a kid, and I love it! However, Miracle Whip is made with high fructose corn syrup (sugar) and is not keto-friendly or low carb.
Stick with regular mayonnaise and also avoid “light” mayo options, as they may contain added sugar too.
You can even make your own mayo with this simple homemade mayonnaise recipe! It takes a little more time, but homemade always taste fabulous!
