Personally, I used to find chicken dishes anything but exciting. However, I changed my mind about chicken completely after trying these amazing keto chicken recipes! These recipes are all keto-friendly, without losing any of their flavor.

Both white meat and dark meat chicken are allowed on keto, because they are both extremely low in carbs. Actually, chicken itself has NO carbs!
Dark meat chicken has higher fat content than light meat chicken, so it is idea for a ketogenic diet, which relies on fats to provide energy for the body instead of carbohydrates. However, you can always add fats to your meal if you’re eating light meat! For example, you can use healthy cooking oils to add fats or serve with sliced avocados. Just to name a couple ideas!
It really comes down to your own personal preference, as well as what a recipe calls for, when deciding whether to use white or dark meat.
Can You Eat Chicken Skin On The Keto Diet?
Yes, you can absolutely eat chicken skin on a ketogenic diet! Chicken skin is not only a zero-carb food, but it is also a good source of the fats that the body needs on a keto diet. Leaving the chicken skin on during cooking adds flavor to the chicken meat and also protects it from drying out. Win-win!
